Hey folks...I just completed a big clean-up on a very old and very ignored 800 sq/ft deck. It went very well, bleached it out, power washed it, and applied a semi-transparent oil-based stain/sealer. I couldn't be more pleased with the result except that I used a sprayer to apply the stain and it seems I oversprayed in several places resulting in an unatural shine and solid color (like paint) in some spots. Is there a good way to remove this top layer of sealer that didn't soak into the wood? I tried rubbing with mineral spirits, but it is too dry for the spirits to have any noticeable effect. Your guidance would be appreciated.
