I am in a raised bungalow so my deck is approximately 4-5 feet off of the ground. The basement windows are full size and are under the deck. I would like to somewhat close in the deck so that it can be used for storage, etc. But also, the asthetics is the big thing. Right now it looks so bare because it is a big (25 x 15) mud patch under there (clay to be more specific) I need a better alternative than lattice. Any suggestions?

- How to close underside of deck
First check with your local building officials they usually don't like the idea of the underside of the deck being used for storage.
Here is some pictures of ones we have built under vinyl waterproof decks.
