The pressure treated posts on my deck rest on top of concrete piers that are about 2-feet below grade. I ould like to raise the height of the piers to at least grade level. Is there a way to pour on top of the old pier? Or should I dig it out and replace it entirely?

If the exisitng piers are below your frost level and your local building dept. doesn't require footings?

You should be able to drill into the existing concrete and epoxy in 5/8 rebar or threaded rod - 3 verticals - then place the new concrete above.

I'd embed them at least 7".

Always check with a structural engineer when in doubt.
