I have a question---My outside deck is frozen since it is 20 degrees outside. When you walk on the deck you can hear the wood make a crunching sound. Should I be worried that the wood froze and is cracking? Does wood decks crack when the winter is below freezing? We put a stain on the deck this last summer. I believe it has a sealer in it but not real sure. Thank you for any comments you can give me

You shouldn't have too much to worry about, if your deck was recently stained. Hopefully there was a sealing property to the product you applied also.
Winter is tough on decks, but it sounds like you've done what you can in protecting it. Keep it up every year or two, and you'll really extend the life of your deck.
