Our beautiful weatherbest deck, and it was beautiful, is now exhibiting surface flaking, crumbling, ugly irregular fading, and woodgrain erosion/checking. It's taken a few months to complete the decks installation, and in the mean time as we finish the screwing of boards that have been on for a few months the surface wood surrounding the screw heads now mushrooms and flakes, about the size and thickness of a quarter. The color fading of the Tuscan Walnut is irregular, so if you want a uniform deck color, not striped shades of the original color, then this isn't your deck choice.
