I recently replaced the oak backsplash and oak trim around the tiled countertops in the bathroom. I used a wood stain and sealed them with gloss lacquer. After about a week the lacquer has started coming off from the constant water that gets on the wood. Any suggestions on what type of seal I should have used? Thanks

Hi there,
You could use what has worked on boats for years. Three coats of spar varnish and copious amounts of paste wax.....MJH
