Glad to have run across this site as our TimberTech XLM Mountain Cedar decking is failing (whitening and chalking) as well. We installed our product in July/August of 2008. I filed a Warranty Claim today. Like the rest of the bloggers, we do NOT want a quick fix that requires yearly maintenance or a fix that will cause further discoloration. The whole point behind our decision to install the TimberTech product was the "no maintenance" feature AND the 25 Year Warranty. The expense behind the stand alone product combined with the installation costs make it a hands down decision to see this TimberTech warranty through to the end. We want a product that stands up to what we paid for. That simple. What we have now is a complete embarrassment to the us and the standard of home we pride ourselves on maintaining. If anyone hears of any legal avenues pending, please post information.
