Can someone tell me how to replace the shower pan in my standing tile shower, also how to remove a steel drain?

You are going to have to remove the tile up to the top of the shower pan. Once the tile is removed, you will have to look and see if the pan is imbedded in mortar. Also look for any nails or screws holding the pan to the joists. Are you interested in removing the actual drain (why?), or the tailpiece on the bottom of the pan?
