I have reinstalled several toilets and have caulked around the bottom, between the porcelein and the vinyl lenoleum floor. Used kitchen/bath white silicone caulk for asthetics and cleanliness.
I was told recently that I should remove the caulk so the bottom of the toilet can breath... to eliminate moisture buildup from the pocelein 'sweating' in the future. Is this good advice??

Yes and no. I caulk around my own and my clients because I prefer a bit of sweat to what might get underneath from the exterior. Let's just say accidents do happen and I don't want aromas lingering.
