I've noticed that on occasion there is hard white stuff that forms in the pipe under the toilet tank plug. It has happened to all of the toilets in our house. Any idea on what it could be??

Hi drmansfield, sounds like calcium buildup. Does it look similar to this?
If so you can do a search on the internet with keywords of "calcium buildup" and find lots of possible solutions. The picture is from this company if you want to check them out ADT Enterprises
