Moaning pipes

After shutting off the water, my pipes moan for several seconds. What causes this and how can I fix it? House is only 6 years old.

You didn't say if this happens for all faucets or only one. If only one, then the problem is that one.
If more than one, you still might narrow it down to an area. Try all faucets, inside and out, and see which cause the noise.
