I've noticed a gurgling sound coming from the tub drain when the vanity sink is emptying. The tub drains slowly and doesn't keep up to the shower head flow. I've tried to run a snake through the tub drain but can't get it through the trap (tough angle). Any suggestions as to the cause and/or solutions?

1 - you might want to also try a drain opener product to be sure there's no clog beyond the trap.
2 - it may be that the (what do you call it?) "stop" that opens and closes in the drain pipe is simply not opening as far as it should. It's connected to the lever in the tub that you lift up or push down. If you remove the 2 screws that hold the lever assembly to the tub, you can lift the whole thing out and adjust or replace parts as needed.
