Bvplumbing
I live in a house that was built in 1876. It is on a peir and beam foundation.

The problem I have is... I found a water leak, fixed it and than another showed up (weakest link). I have decided to replumb from the meter all the way to the last faucet. I want to use pvc pipe rather than galvanized pipe. Can I use pvc from the source or do I have to use something else from the meter to the house?

This project also includes the hot water lines.

Any advice on this project would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I don't know about code or legal requirements, but I have definitely seen plastic pipe from meter to house in more than one location. I have also seen two underground leaks - one caused by a sharp chunk of concrete gradually wearing through the plastic pipe over several years - the other cause not certain, but there were large tree roots present. Something to be aware of.
