I have a deepsink directly over a drain vent, and just recently, whenever the washer drains into the deep sink, the water starts coming out of the vent. There's a plastic ball on the end of the vent, so I can't see under it. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi Jason22,

It sounds like you have a blockage, possibly beyond the ball. What happens if you were to fill the washer W/O using any soap, and then simply draining it? If it doesn't backup, then the problem could be too much suds in the wash-cycle. If it DOES back up (w/o any suds in the cycle), then you most likely have a blockage.

Again, test this by filling the Washer to the top W/O using any soap, and draining it. You may need to call a plumber. If you 'damage' the ball, you run the risk of getting a sewer backup in the house! (Maybe the ball is a golf ball and it doesn't belong in there. Got kids in the house???)

My best to ya and hope this helps.
