its use escapes me as i look at it, but having said that i know it would help me if only i knew how, i've been away from woodworking 40 years, its slowly coming back, to slow. thanks

To measure angles.

I use it where I can loosen the knurled nut and put the two parts in a angle then tighten the nut and it allows you to transfer the exact angle to a piece of wood.

No measuring, when you set it and tighten it is the angle you need.

hey thanks, ive used it the past week end, copyin bevel cuts off old bird house i took apart. im finding more things my tools will
do besides what i thought theyd do, you know?
