When we first moved into this house 2 years ago, the caulking job in the bathtub was bad. We have finally decided to re-do it.

My only concern is there is about a 6 inch swipe of caulk from the spout across the wall. I am assuming this is a crack.

Is there anyway to fix a crack in the bathtub surround walls? Or maybe a way to caulk it up that looks nice?

Any help would be great!

Hi Jack and Alice,
There are companies which make repairs like this but you can probably do just as good a job yourself and save money.Try to level the existing caulk job (remove excess caulk from outside of crack).Reapply new caulk to fill any voids if there are any.The rest is a matter of paint which will match the wall color without damage to the material or you may find that just smoothing the caulk is acceptable.
