In Tom Silva's article on Pane Relief, he reccomends priming the rabbets with an exterior primer. I have been using linseed oil. Is this OK?, with traditional putty as well as the acrylic glazing compound in a caulk tube? I tried some of the tube stuff this week. It was very difficult(sloppy) to work with but I like the idea of quiker paintability and lifetime flexibility. I will work on my technique on this.
