Recently purchased a townhouse that has these cheap plywood kitchen cabinets painted white. Since I have limited funds at this point, I'm trying to figure out if there is something I can do with them rather than going to the much larger expense of R&Ring them. Thought I could take the doors and cut out a window and put in ripple glass or something. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

- Doing something with plywood cabinets?
I HAVE DID SEVERAL JOBS OF YOUR TYPE BY FIRST REMOVING ALL THE DOORS. LOOK AT THE FRAMEWORK, AND FIGURE THE APROX AMOUNT OF WOOD PRODUCT YOU NEED. PURCHASE A 1/4 SHEET OF OAK PLYWOOD,CUT AND FACE ALL THE OUTER FRAMEWORK AND ATTACH WITH AIR NAILER OR SMALL FINISH NAILS. MAKE SURE THE GRAIN IN THE OAK WOODS RUN CORRECT DIRECTIONS. NORMALLY, I MAKE NEW DOORS OF OAK TO MATCH THE FRAMEWORK. INSTALL NEW HINGES AND HARDWARES ALONG WITH STAINING OR CLEAR COATING. THE RESULTS ARE AMAZING. THIS IS MUCH LESS THAN REMOVING AND REINSTALLING SAME.
