Ever since a plumber installed my new water heater, the hot water faucet in the bathroom turns in the wrong direction when turning on or off. The plumber was using this faucet to test if the water was on or off. How can I change it back?

Never heard of a way to reverse that. Are you positively sure the plumber changed it?

I'm not positive, but it happened the day the plumber was there and everyone else that was there that day says they don't know how it happened?

If its a Moen single handle cartridge type faucet, the fix is simple. Remove the handle, turn the brass stem 180 degrees and reinstall the handle. Your faucet will now be the right direction.
If not, simply shut off the water under the sink, reverse the supply tubes from the hot to the cold and turn the water back on.
Good Luck
