Repost of a prior request for information:

I am looking for a simple hydraulic "thingamajig" - preferably a pair - for lifting the surface of a desk/work table.

See, what I am aspiring to accomplish is build a desk/work table that can go from "coffee table" height all the way to 42" high for review of floor plans while standing. Motor driven ok.

Needs to be a non-manual mechanism due to health/physical handicap. AS ALWAYS, cost is a consideration - not cheap, just modestly priced.

Thank you for your kind review.

Sounds like one of those things from those 60's movies--you know, in bachelor pads. Push a button, and "voila!"

Sorry I'm no help--but they've gotta be out there....good luck.

I've seen devices before that will raise and lower a TV in a cabinet. Might something like that suit your needs? I think I've seen them before in the back pages of something like Popular mechanics, Wood Magazine, or one of the other ones.

Good luck
