I am going to refinish the wall tile and tub in my bathroom. The total cost for a contractor to come in will be about $500. However I have seen a new product on the market made by Homax called 'Tough As Tile' which sells for about $15 per kit. Does anybody have any experience with these do it yourself refinishing kits and if so how did they turn out?
You cannot buy the level of products used by most professional refinishing companies. In this business the old addage hold true. "you get what you pay for." You may find, like many before you, that you are later not only paying for the refinishing, but also paying the contractor to remove that old coating which can add hundreds to the job.
