Winterizing / De-Winterizing

We just bought a home that has been winterized and was wondering how easy it is to de-winterize it and how safe it is... I know that there is anti freeze in the pipes. Can someone tell me what the process of de-winterizing is?

Normally, you just need to open all the spigots, shower controls, etc and flush the lines.

Is it really that simple? There is no danger with the anti-freeze?

If they used the proper antifreeze there is no danger. Even if they used the wrong stuff just let the water run for a long time (10-15 minutes). I would let the hot much longer before turning on the power/gas to the tank.
