I am building a 5ft poker table. I have the dimensions but I need suggestions on how to add recessed chip trays(6"). I would prefer it to be one piece.

I would imagine that you could just cut out a hole, matching the tray's inside measurements, and drop the tray in. I would make the hole before felting, and do the installation after the felt is done. As far as how to secure the tray...I guess it would depend on the tray.

If the hole is tight enough, they might just stay put.
