When I flush the toilet and stand over it, I get like a gas odor. When i had a plumber there to check it, he said he can't smell anything. now I know there is a foul odor only after flushing. Could someone tell me how to get rid of it?

The best reply i can give you is to ask you if your using Chlorine tablets for disinfection? describe the odor....does it smell like ****? or some other smell?
It smell like sewer gas. I recaulked the bottom of the toilet with white caulk where it touches the floor.
This morning some of the caulk is already a brown color. Still smells.

I would try this first pull the toilet and install 2wax rings instead of one how old are these houses? some of the older homes have lead flanges if thats the case more then likley you have a home built inthe 40's or 50's and those homes have central venting systems that plumbing code was changed in 1958 so each fixture had to have it's own vent central venting is where the is only one pipe going outside sometimes the roof and sometimes just next to the house to help equal atmospheric pressure within your drian lines I would replace the old lead flange if thats the case, if not just install 2 no seep bowl waxes with plastic sleeves and should take care of if
