I am refinishing a claw foot tub and one of the guides that hold one of the feet on has cracked off. Can the foot be welded back on without ruining the porcelain interior or cracking the tub? Is metal epoxy a better choice to hold the foot on? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I would try the epoxy 1st. It might hold up for you. A welder would be much more expensive. He most probably would "tack" weld the broken piece.
