Does anyone know of a way to extract the threaded piece of pipe behind the wall? The pipe broke flush with the edge of the female receptor. The pipe was brass into a copper receptacle.

I'm really trying to avoid removing the complete shower.

I am by no means saying to break through the wall. but if a plumber can't get to the pipe from the shower side. And you are not on an exterior wall. I would break through the other side. Which is probably drywall instead of tile or fyberglass.
