My husband and I just bought a small house with 1 bathroom. In order to keep the peace, we need to add a second bathroom in the basement (toilet, sink and shower). Do the sanitary ejector pumps and basement plumbing really cause as many problems as I'm now reading about? Comments, suggestions?

An ejector pit is ur solution if it's below the main house drain. Here is a link that provides a sewer ejector pit www.libertypumps.com i believe they feature the self contained pump on their home page. Just keep in mind the pump has to be back vented via @" PVC and a check valve.
