We have an older house and the plumbing is close to 50 years old. In the last week our tub and toilet has become very slow draining. I have tried plunging several times and it doesn't do much good. If I plunge the tub the water in the commode will bubble up and visa versa. There is only me and the wife and nothing has been dropped into either one that would clog it up. We are on a septic system.
We will appreciate any and all of your suggestions.
Thanks
Bud

The house is so old it is hard to tell. I beleive the big pipe is cast iron, but I know most of the others are galv. and then the smaller ones are copper.
I put some liquid plumber down the tub drain and it is working beautifully... I hesitate in putting much down the commode as they all state "not to be used in commode" so I don't want to create more problems.
Thanks for you quick response
