Hook up water pipes to water heater.

We redid all our inside water pipelines, they froze and busted, we can't get the hot or cold pipes hooked in the right poisition on top of the hot electric water heater. We have American water heater,Model--E62-30H-045DV

I don't know why you cannot get your pipes positioned. Is there something in the way?

Thankyou for responding, I have to tell you I feel silly, my husband and I when we rechecked the pipes today, we had them on wrong. Problem corrected, but, I thank you.
