Can anyone tell me what would be the maximum distance away from the toilet I can put the vent?

I live in massachusetts and the toilet drain is 3" venting into a 2" vent pipe downstream. Looking to see how far away from the toilet I can put the 2" vent.

Thanks

For some reason different states feel their toilet water can travel different distances.

Those adopting the Uniform Plumbing Code think six feet at 1/4" and those adopting the International Plumbing Code think 10 feet at 1/8" per foot of fall.

Massachusetts has it's own plumbing code and I have quit trying to find it. You are wanting trap arm distances and they can be found under Traps or Fixture Vents in a code.
