I am in the middle of selling my house and the inspection was flagged for the tub drains because the plug is seperated from the drain. You used to turn it to close and open. Both of my tubs have been this way for years and I never had any problems with it. It works perfectly fine by placing it into the hole, but the new owners want it replaced. I am not sure if you can fix it or does it need to be replaced and how would I go about this? I have pictures to show what I am talking about if needed. Thanks.
