I have a Moen bathtub/ shower faucet that leaks when the water is cut off. What do I need to do to repair it?

All that you should need is a replacement cartridge that you can purchase almost anywhere. If your faucet pulls out and turns left and right, you would need a 1225B cartridge. If it just turns it would be the positemp model and tha would require a 1222B cartridge. Once in a blue moon a cartridge puller will be needed, but not that often. The genuine cartridge does come with complete instructions also. Only use genuine Moen replacement parts.
