I would like to know what kind of fitting I need to connect my 1" pvc pipe from my house to my meter? I am replacing an old supply line which had a brass fitting to the meter (I believe).

Here's what you need to do. Go to the hardware store with the nipple coming off the meter and purchase a female iron pipe x cpvc adapter (I hope you mean cpvc). Don't loose the rubber gasket on the side of the meter, it should be under the union nut. They will direct you to the right bin for the part you need.

Good Luck
