I bought a small bathroom sink in France, with a pop up drain. I need to connect it to a 1 1/2 inch drain pipe. The European is in metric, slightly larger than 1 1/2. Where can I go to get a connecting piece?
Many thanks.

You can buy a rubber o-ring that will fit on the outside of the pop up to convert it to the 1-1/2 American Trap. You have to take the popup to a company (hardware store sometimes) that stocks various sizes of o-rings. 30 mm is the outside diameter of the tubular drain, so something with a maximum outside diameter of 32 mm and a 30 mm inside will work to convert it.
You can also substitute an American PO for the French one. American manufacturers have all of the colors of the French trim. The linkages between the faucet and the drain should be able to be connected together. Just use all of the parts of the drain and popup, and the linkages of the faucet. You might have to redrill the hole in the vertical lift assembly (but I doubt it) to fit the horizontal American lift lever.
