I have some bamboo and rattan furniture that is stained with a medium colored stain, "mocha".

I would like the furniture to be slightly darker, with a stain called "pecan".

The furniture is already stained and assembled. Can I re-stain it darker now? What's the best way to make the furniture darker while preserving the nice grain and knots of the bamboo?
