I have tried various flappers from ********** and *****, however they stop flushing as soon as the flush handle is released.

The original GERBER flapper would remain above the water during a flush and ensure a complete drain. I guess the shape and the amount of air it holds to float is the key.

Does any body know where I can purchase them.

You can either order one on the internet from Gerber, or you can go to a local plumbing wholesaler and purchase one direct.
