I just installed a laundry sink,my laundry room is downstairs and of course the drains go up. The pump on the washer pushed the water our before, is there a type of small pump to hook to the drain line to push the water out of the laundry sink?

There is a pump that goes under the laundry tub in place of the trap, that comes on when the water runs into the sink. This pump is designed for just the situation you are talking about. Check out laundry trap pumps at http://www.plumbingsupply.com/drainsystem.html

good luck
