Is it ok to put a bathtub and surround directly on the studs of an exterior wall? I am assuming it is ok and you just need a good vapor barrier between the insulation and the tub. Let me know if iam right or not.

Also, when remodeling a bathroom do you put your new flooring in before the tub and vanity go in or after? Thanks.

Yes, just make sure the tub and surround have insulation and vapor barrier and you can install it right against the studs. I do it all the time and its recommended by the manufacturers.

Good Luck
