I am submitting plans for an above ground pool to my local zoning board. I need to supply information about the capacity of my drywell. Does anyone know how to determine the capacity of a drywell? I think there is a formula, but my landscape architecht does not know it and he is drawing up the plans to go before the zoning board.

The capacity of the dry well will depend on a number of factors.
If its round then the formula Pie times Radius squared times the height will give you the capacity in cubic feet. If its cubic, then you will need the length times the width times the height.
The difficult part, is you will probably need to know the soil type to determine the percolation rate. This is the speed the water leaves the dry well into the surrounding ground.
Good Luck
