Bvplumbing
I have a strange pipe-banging problem. I live in a condo and I think other units around me have the same problem. Banging pipes; but not when I turn on, or off, a water source. (I cannot say that my neighbors are not turning on water.) I know that I can identify when it is my pipes that are banging and when it is a neighbor’s pipes. The banging comes at random times and often at night. It is loud enough to wake me up. I had a plumber out to see what was up, but as you could guess the pipes were perfectly quiet while he was there. So $50 dollars later, I still have pipes that bang at random times and it is not related to turning the water on or off. Any help is welcome.

Thanks,

Peter

There are many problems that lead to banging pipes.

Just Google "banging pipes" to see the possibilities.

I would attend a condo meeting & have the group form a game plan to resolve the issue.
