I'm not sure, but I think that we may have a 3/4 pump at our cottage. Could it have to do with our pressure tank? Also, should we have two pipes running from the pump into the cottage?

Depending on the age of the pump and the total overall depth, I may have chosen a 1 hp pump.

But also check the pressure tank and the settings on the solenoid valve. If they are not set right, you can get the pump turning off too soon.

If the pressure tank diaphram has failed or there is no air in the pressure tank, then you will have similar problems.
