Thanks, RayVintZant.

With the showerhead removed and the diverter up, I have a thin thread of water flowing out the shower and no water from the tub spout.

Is there a blockage or do I need to replace the valve? WHERE IS THE VALVE AND HOW DO I REPLACE IT?

IS THE VALVE THE SAME AS THE CARTRIDGE? I have replaced the cartridge (that gizmo inside the faucet knob) already.

I have a single faucet for the tub/shower.

Any further help is appreciated.

The valve is inside the wall. You will have to open up the wall on the back side and remove it. You can then cut the line to the shower head and the lines coming up from the floor and replace the valve. There is probably something stuck in the plastic diverter inside the valve. It should be drywall on the back side of the wall. drywall is an easy repair.

Good luck
