I'm on a well and have a strange problem. Just recently, each morning when I turn on a tap, the water sputters, like there is air in the pipes. What could cause this? Would it just be a case of putting a check-valve on the line from the pump?

It could either be the well is drawing air, the line from the well has a small leak, the check valve has failed, or electrolysis is creating oxygen inside the water system from iron oxide inside the water heater.

No one can figure this out!! HELP!
I've replaced the hot water heater, pressure tank and still have the problem with air in my lines, especially noticable on the hot water. I am on a well, but had a pump specialist come and confirmed that the pump can't be drawing air as it's about 300 feet below the water level.
When I pour a glass of water, it's cloudy for about 10 seconds until the air escapes. Makes it seem like the water is full of air from the well and just escapes when the pressure is reduced. Is that possible? Could the air actually be in the water 300 feet below ground?
