This weekend, I installed a water softener in my basement. After several trips to the store, I finally finished.
However, I have a very slow leak in the "in" cpvc pipe that goes into the softener. It is about 12 inches off the softener and takes place at an elbow joint. It's been 24 hours since I have installed it and I have probably only a mouth-ful of water in teh bucket. My question is this:
1. Since hard water goes through this pipe (our hard water rates at 25), will the problem fix itself (calcium deposits hardening up, etc).
2. Would plumbing tape work?
Any help you could give me would be great!
