Turned the cold and hot handles on in tub but no water comes out of the faucet. Rest of house has running water from faucets when on. screen is clean.

What might be the problem?

PRISDAN904 - hi, it sounds like the water supply lines feeding the tub faucet have been turned off. Those lines have disconnects (valves with handles to cut off the water supply feeding the faucet), which are probably in the wall behind the tub. You'd need to try and follow the water lines to locate the disconnects as they may not be in the immediate area.

Please note I'm guessing here as I don't know what kind of tub you're talking about, whether or not it's new construction or not, if the faucet worked before or not, if it's a new faucet, etc. Good luck! Jim D/West Point, VA

Mistakenly my husband turned the wrong value under the sink and caused the water to stop flowing into the tub.

All you plumbers were right. Thanks
