We're replacing the valve in our toilet and have everything taken off, but can't seem to get the farrell (sp?) off. Anyone know how? We could really use some advice! Thanks in advance for any advice!

One of the draw backs of using the lousy Ferrule on the supply side of the valve is trying to replace the valve.

I think your better off cutting the supply install a female adapter then a nipple CP Brass possibly and then using a IPS x compression type with the ferrule used on the out let side of the valve instead of on the inlet.

Go to the hardware store or perhaps plumbing supply store and purchase a "ferrell-puller" common tool that most experienced plumbers carry..........erik
