I have a water leak and I can't find it. My water bill is double what it should be every month. I've replaced washers and even faucets that were not dripping, checked toilets for leaks, walked the property looking for a wet spot and I can't find anything. When I turn off the water supply at the meter, the meter still turns. It turns slowly, but it does turn. Someone with as much knowledge as me suggested that the meter could be bad. Is this possible or are there other suggestions for finding the leak? I really can't afford to pay a plumber (single mom with kids) to spend hours looking for a leak if this is something that I can do myself. I'm at my wits end and will have to call a plumber if there are no alternatives.
