Please help, I have a one year old house and the toilet has just started leaking water onto the floor from around the bottom of base where it sits on floor. I have checked all of the fittings (I wrapped toilet paper around them) and they are all dry. It appears that the base is sitting on a gasket of some sort or it is caulk. Please tell me if a new wax rim will fix the problem. It only leaks when I turn the water on to it. It is about half full of water and no leak.

If a toilet is installed properly even with a full bowl (Stoppage) there should be no leak around the base.

1- Either the floor flange bolts need to be tightned OR

2- The weax seal replaced with new bolts.
