It appears we have a frozen drain pipe. The kitchen sink drain pipe runs into the wall then down 2 feet then runs horizontal a couple of feet (inside the wall), then comes out into the crawlspace. I found an area about 6 feet away from the wall in the crawlspace where it was clogged about 90%. I believe when you drain the sink, the pipe fills up and then slowly drains through the clogged section.

Last Friday night it dropped to -20F and I think the water that was slowly draining through the clog froze in the section of pipe that runs horizontal in the wall (this section of pipe is right against the outside wall).

I cleared the clog section but can't get at the pipe in the wall to the frozen section. Anyone have idea's how the thraw this section without ripping the wall out.

thanxs, conquered by my home

I normally tell folks with frozen pipes to take a wait and see approach but if your in a hurry try using a womans hair drier ( NOT for PLASTIC PIPING) and start thrawing slowly plug the hair drier into a GFI outlet

OR pour hot water on the piping you can see BECAREFUL
