I live in a manufactured home & am city sewer line. But when we run water or flush a toilet we can hear the water. Sounds like it is running into an empty tank under the house. I even hear water sometimes when we don't even have any on. It's like i am hearing the neighbors water when it runs.

Thanks for any help.

Try adjusting the valve under your toilet as a globe valve is designed to throttle and excessive velocity can cause lots of strange sounds and piping erosion

Can you please explain exactly what you mean by this -- don't have the valve fully open???

I have a knocking noise also and it seems like the toilet may be related. Can't yet tell where the sound actually is happening -- upstairs in the walls somewhere.

Thanks

means that closing the water supply slightly so less volume is flowing through the piping and excessive velocity can cause all kinds of wacky sounds
